You should also apply for other forms of government-sponsored or institutional financial aid each year.  In addition to your Terry Scholar award, other grants and scholarships (like the Federal Pell Grant) are considered to be important components of your financial support.  Be sure to notify the Foundation and the financial aid office at your school of any scholarships that you receive in addition to your Terry award and other assistance awarded by the school.  Since the Terry award and other institutional awards are based on financial need, other scholarships may affect the amount of those awards.  The sooner the financial aid office knows of the other funds that you will have for education expenses, the sooner you will know exactly what your Terry award will be.

Early each summer, you will receive from the Foundation the Terry Financial Aid Form, which you will need to complete and return to the Foundation offices.  On this form, you are required to list all outside financial aid that you will be receiving in the coming academic year.  It is important that this form be completed and returned by the deadline specified in the e-mail which will accompany it: the Foundation cannot fund your scholarship for the coming fall until this form is received.

When you submit your Financial Aid Form, the receipt of your form will be acknowledged by e-mail within 24 hours (M-F).  If you have received no response within that time, re-submit your form or call the Foundation offices to confirm that your form was received. The submission of your Financial Air Form is not complete until you receive confirmation that the Foundation actually received your form.
